Mixed media. Acrylic paint, crepe paper, alcohol ink, archival glue, handspun lotus silk.

Dyeing the crepe paper with alcohol inks.
Base coat of indigo.
Dyed indigo crepe paper for outer petals.
Dyed crepe paper for inner petals.
Folding crepe paper to cut petals.
5 outer petals.
Deepening layers of indigo galaxy.
Handspinning lotus silk on a wooden drop spindle.
Finished canvas in the studio.
